It’s Autumn. Properly Autumn *happy skip*. No more wondering if the temperatures will rise; no more talk of a possible Indian summer; it’s well and truly the season of jackets, boots and opaque tights. Hallelujah! So today, I’m going to share with you some of the truly divine Autumn clothes that I spotted in Massimo Dutti last week. If I could, I would have happily bought every item in the shop. Interestingly, on the same day, I did a full circuit of Zara and there wasn’t a single thing that caught my eye. So pull up a chair, forget about psoriasis, because these items are going to cheer your soul!
When I went online a few weeks ago, I spied this cream coat with leather edging. It was love at first sight and I want it. Hugely impractical; not even sure when I’d wear it; but come Hell or high water, it must be mine.
So, I took myself off to Massimo Dutti to try it on. But alas, it wasn’t stocked in the store. However, I then saw this, the reversible coat. I swear I caught my breath! It’s a lot paler in reality than it is in these pictures and you’ll have to trust me that it’s utterly divine. This is a coat that would suit every height. It’s soft, cosy and stylish and that’s before I even wax lyrical about the fact that you have two coats in one … with a variety of scarves, the styling possibilities are endless. So now I’m torn … which coat should I go for?
And the other side ...
A quick persusal of the leather jackets is a must in this store. The leather is like butter and the styles are gorgeous. First up, this chocolate brown jacket with quilted sides. How gorgeous is this? Love!
The name of this made me laugh. Apparently it’s a leather rain coat. Now there’s an oxymoron if ever I heard one. But hey! Just add a snazzy umbrella and all will be well. This is definitely my type of mac!
The variety of scarves is fabulous, and I particularly liked the mauve printed foulard. Can you see where I’m going with this? With the mix of creams, blues and browns, how perfect would it be with any of the aforementioned coats?
Blazers! Ah yes, we can’t do a post on Massimo Dutti without giving the blazers a passing nod. I love the velveteen jacket, but for anyone with scalp psoriasis, a scarf will probably be a necessity with this. (Things that land on velvet tend to annoying stick to it)
Alternatively, whilst the temperatures are still mild enough during the day, how about this grey marl blazer? (And actually, I’ll take the jeggings and boots also, please!)
Cashmere is one knit that doesn’t irritate my skin, but as always I would caution anyone with psoriasis to check knitwear before buying. I love the simplicity of this 100% cashmere sweater, the colour is just perfect and the price tag is pretty good too.
For those who prefer a chunkier knit, how about this fantasy twisted yarn sweater? Perfect for those chillier days (and how good would it look under the grey side of the reversible coat? Sigh!)
So, what are you waiting for? Go forth and shop! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to choose my lottery numbers.
See you on Wednesday … when I’ll try to whittle my wish down to just one thing!
