As I have
mentioned (endlessly) I am looking for an outfit to be worn in March to The
Child’s Confirmation. Rushing through
Dublin city centre on Friday afternoon, en route to an appointment, I managed to find a
little time to quickly run into a few stores to see what was on offer. Clearly, nothing suitable for the occasion I
had in mind! However, easily distracted
as always, I did see a few things still languishing on the (surprisingly full) sales
racks that I thought I should bring to your attention. I hope you are all hugely impressed by the
fact that I wasn’t swayed from my mission and therefore resisted making any
rash purchases. However, those of you
who may still have a few vouchers left (I salute your restraint!) or have a few
bob to spare, may be interested in these bits ‘n pieces which are still
available, all of which are perfect for those of us who need some coverage
due to psoriasis.
First stop was
one of my high street favourites, Whsitles.
My magpie-like eye is always drawn to anything sparkly and if I had a
formal occasion to go to, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this. Don’t worry about the arms; that issue is
easily solved by either some Mary Portas Armery or the recent addition to the
market, Canopi. Some opaque tights and
killer heels and how fabulous would you look?
In a similar
vein but for a less formal occasion was this top. It doesn’t seem to be available online
anymore but there are definitely a few left in Brown Thomas in Dublin... and not just in sizes 6 or 20! A perfect top with stunningly embellished
sleeves, yet a pale body so that any flakiness won’t ruin your look. You’ll just have to trust me when I say it
looked way better in reality. I really
loved this (seriously impressed with myself for not giving in to temptation)
I also took a
quick dash into Ted Baker and spied this little gem on the rails. Perhaps I was swayed by the freezing cold
temperatures, not to mention the sleet and rain, but I loved the fur detail on
the cuffs and reckoned this would be a seriously cosy option to add to the
knitwear in your wardrobe.
I realise that
many of you are looking towards the Spring/Summer collections now, but these
items are classics that I believe would be a good staples to have in your
wardrobe. So, have you made any last
minute purchases in the sales? Or are
you planning for the milder weather that we hope will be on its way soon?

Hi there! The Ted Baker cardigan looks really different in a stylish way, love the faux fur and the colour! I've been buying this month denim-shirts and jeans but will now try and shop my own wardrobe until at least March!! x
