Wednesday Wish
is that day of the week, where reality is put on hold for a few moments whilst
I imagine what I would do if funds were unlimited and I could purchase complete
luxuries without a care in the world.
However, it’s December, so let’s make the wishes a little more
realistic. For those of you who have
psoriasis; for those of you who might know someone who does, and for those of
you who quite simply like lovely things, I present my December Wednesday
Wishes. Some ideas of what would be a
sure-fire hit if found under the tree.
So let’s un-wrap today’s goodies.
Last July I purchased
a pair of the Mary Portas for Clarks wedge peep-toe shoe-boots (see here) and I
can vouch for the fact that they are incredibly comfortable, extremely stylish and
I loved wearing them. It’s possibly a
bit cold to be exposing toes at this time of year, so instead this is my
suggestion for a pair of stylish ankle boots to jazz up an outfit with comfort guaranteed.
The two tone fabric effect is an interesting detail and being a fan of wedges,
I would be most happy to have these in my wardrobe. Also available in brown.
Paul Costelloe
has outdone himself this year with his gift range for Dunnes Stores. I was instantly transported back to my
childhood when I saw the furry hand-warmers that are worn around the neck. Clearly not designed with someone of my
advanced years in mind! The fur snood on
the other hand, is truly gorgeous. It’s
fluffy, it won’t irritate the skin, it’s warm, and would look fantastic with a
range of coats and jackets. At only €20,
this won’t break the bank and I think it would make a super gift. Also available in brown.
Since I did my post on Jo Malone, I have been alerted to the fact that she now has a new
range, called Jo Loves. Of course, now I’m dying to try
it out and as a fan of Orange Blossom in her former range, I suspect that the
Orange Tulle would be even more lovely in her new collection.
What would be on
your December Wish List?

I love that Paul Costelloe fur neck warmer and of course any Jo Malone products would be most welcome to appear under the tree:)

The Paul Costelloe range is really lovely this year. Definitely worth checking out in Dunnes .. even includes fur hot-water bottle covers :)
DeleteI also love the neck warmer, how fab although I might need a longer neck!
ReplyDeleteDo you think? I think the fur would disguise the length of your neck ... I hadn't thought about that. Will have to try one on and see!
DeleteOoooh those boots are fab!!! And Jo Malone - I just adore here Orange Blossom scent - one of my favorite Xmas presents ever was a box of her miniature fragrances that I could mix.
ReplyDeleteThat does sound like the perfect present. You cna never go wrong with Jo Malone!
DeleteLove those boots, I bought a pair very similar from ASOS last wk, and of course who doesn't love Jo Malone gift!
ReplyDeleteI love the boots too. Crossing my fingers that they will be in the sales this year:)
DeleteFab boots and I am really into Jo Malone, ever since you posted about her..

Glad you liked the choices. There will be more next Wednesday:)
DeleteI adore those boots - I got some cheap Next ones that will do me this year when funds are tight, but they will only last a season! I am hoping for some Jo Malone perfume too and the Zara jacket that Sue from Susie So So has!!
ReplyDeleteOh, an excellent choice - Sue's Zara jacket is gorgeous. And who doesn't love Jo Malone?! I'm hoping the boots will still be around in the sales after Xmas. One of the few advantages of being small is that the smaller shoe sizes (4) tend to be easier to find during the sales:)
DeleteI checked out Jo Loves range when I was in Selfridges last year. Incredible scents but boy oh boy, the price tag is beyond exorbitant.
ReplyDeleteHow expensive is it? I'm not sure it's in Dublin yet. I must have a look in Brown Thomas. But I'll definitely be in London early next year so a trip to Selfridges will be on the cards .. even if only to have a sniff :)
DeleteGreat picks Helen…loving the Mary boots the best - want want! Oh I can't wait until the sales xx
